Disclaimer: The Destination Seeker got a myCharge HubPlus to review for free, but the opinions here are my own.
One thing that is always an issue with me when I travel is constantly having to find somewhere to plug in my cell phone. I use it for social networks, keeping up with the kids and even work. It drives my husband crazy that I always need to charge it, but a travel blogger can’t take a vacation without taking a ton of pictures right? Recently I got the myCharge HubPlus to review and it is exactly what I need in a power bank.
I have had power banks in the past that you have to charge by USB. This means you need to charge it on a computer or at least have a box along with you at all times. There are times that this just doesn’t work. One of my favorite things about the MyCharge HubPlus is that it has its own wall plug-in. I have never used a power bank with that option before. It is a bit larger than other power banks, but it has to be to have the options available like plugging it straight into the wall.
On our last trip to Las Vegas, I kept having trouble finding a way to charge my phone. There wouldn’t be a plug-in or they would all be taken already. The power bank I took along with me didn’t last long enough, so the myCharge HubPlus seems like it will be a lifesaver. I haven’t gone on a trip since I got it yet, but it will be going along with me on my next one.
When you put your phone on this charger, then you simply turn it on and it starts to charge. For a test, I was at 77% and put it on for three minutes. It went from 77% to 79% in just these three minutes. That is a pretty quick charge for a portable charger! Since my car has a USB charger and a power outlet, this will be perfect to take on trips. I have already used it several times and didn’t even need to recharge it.
Here is how the site describes this product.
“The newly redesigned myCharge HubPlus 6700mAh portable charger is the quintessential powerbank. With an integrated Apple® Lightning™ cable and an integrated micro-USB cable and the newly added USB port, staying charged on the go has never been easier. Carrying cables is a thing of the past, not only are the cables built in for effortless charging but wall prongs are built-in for effortless recharging. Boasting a 30% reduction in size, the HubPlus is more compact and portable than ever before.”
You can check out the myCharge HubPlus on their website. They also offer several other models so you can get the one that is the best fit for you. Some of them keep a charge longer and that might be something I look into in the future and then pass this one on to one of the kids.
