A trip to Disneyland isn’t just for kids and can actually be a great vacation for two. It’s an incredible experience for everyone, young and old alike! Here are just a few reasons to plan an adult-only trip to Disneyland. You’ll be glad you did!
Treat Yourself to Pricier Options
Disneyland restaurants tend to be on the expensive side. It can really add up when you have multiple mouths to feed, even if your kids prefer macaroni and cheese over a steak dinner.
For people who don’t have to pay for anyone other than themselves, the option of splurging on expensive food and drinks becomes all the more appealing and within reach. Without kids in your party, you can even indulge in a few of the tasty alcoholic beverage options Disneyland parks have to offer. You do have to go outside of the park to find these, but they do exist.
As an alternative, you can also patronize one of the many restaurants within close proximity to the park. If you’re in the mood for a “swanky” atmosphere, consider an eatery such as Carthay Circle Restaurant. It’s located on the 2nd floor of the theater of the same name… the same theater that hosted the premiere of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
Ride the Otherwise Off-Limits Rollercoasters
If you’re a parent, you’ve probably gotten used to going on whatever theme park rides your kids want to go on, as well as not going on rides because your kids are too young or don’t meet the height requirement. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure and California Screamin’ are all rides you want to make sure not to miss!
However, when you take an adult-only vacation to Disneyland, there are no restrictions involved with any ride. It’s also considerably easier to go on them when you’re able to use the single-rider line option. Do a quick Google search to locate the most current list of Disneyland rides that provide you with this convenience.
Hit up the Spa or Just Relax By the Pool
When you take the kids along on a Disneyland trip, they are going to want to go non-stop. If just the adults go, then you can easily take a day off from the parks and hit up the spa or just relax at one of many pools enjoying a drink. It is also a lot easier to sleep in and stay out late if this is the way you like to do your trips.
You can go any time!
When you have children, you have to actually schedule around the school calendar. If you leave the kids at home, someone can take them to school and you can vacation whenever you want. This makes it where you can save money on a Disneyland trip and also on airplane tickets. You will also not have to deal with the park being overcrowded if you pick a time of year that fewer people visit.
Enjoy a Romantic Vacation for Two
Between the fireworks, the beautiful scenery and the overall whimsy of Disneyland, it’s no wonder it’s a popular choice for couples on their honeymoon and those who want to experience a romantic getaway with their significant other.
If Disneyland is the dream venue for your wedding, wedding packages are also available. Some of these include a personal wedding coordinator for your event, as well as seating for as many guests as you care to invite!
These are just a few things to consider when planning a trip to Disneyland without the kids. If you’ve never visited the park before and, it’s all the more reason to go.
Honestly, you’ll be surprised by the sheer number of adults who visit Mickey every year. Let’s face it, if they can do it so can you! If it makes you feel better, remember this. There’s a kid in everyone… just waiting to embark on a magical vacation and book your trip today! Forget adulting and just enjoy yourself.
